10 Days Morocco tour from Marrakech. It is a more recommended tour to visit the best of Morocco, Marrakech, Rabat than the main capital of the country, we will visit the blue village (Chafchaouen), Fez, Merzouga Dunes, the impressive Todra Gorges, Valley of Roses and end in Marrakech.
Itinerary:
Day 1: Marrakech Airport
To correspond with the arrival of your flight in Marrakech, we will be waiting for you. We will enter the city and immediately begin a guided tour of the Medina of Marrakech, the imperial city of the south.
Together with our licensed Tour Guide, we will see the Koutoubia Mosque and admire its Tower (the mosque is not open to non-Muslims).
We will visit the 16th-century Saadian (or Saadite, both designations are correct) tombs, the 19th-century Bahia Palace with its beautiful oriental architecture.
Don’t miss the fascinating Souk (local market) and the narrow alleys around Jemaa el-Fna Square.
At the end of the guided tour, you can continue your discovery on your own.

Day 2: Marrakech – Casablanca – Rabat
After breakfast we will reach the large commercial capital, Casablanca, where you can visit the Hassan II Mosque (this is the only Mosque in Morocco open to non-Muslims, but only at certain times).
The journey will continue in the direction of Rabat (1 hour away) and you will have free time to visit the old town inside the Kasbah Odaya, the Hassan II Tower, and the Mausoleum.

Day 3: Rabat – Chefchaouen
After breakfast we will face a long leg, about 5 hours of driving, which will take us to Chefchaouen, known as the “blue city.”
Upon arrival, free time to visit this very small town.

Day 4: Chefchaouen – Meknes – Volubilis – Fes
After breakfast we will transfer to Fes, but along the way (about a 4-hour drive), we will get to discover two interesting sites:
the Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site
the imperial city of Meknes (the smallest of the imperial cities), also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Arrival in Fes is scheduled for late afternoon.

Day 5: Fes – Guided tour of the Medina
A guided tour of the Medina of Fes is scheduled after breakfast, accompanied by a local tour guide. Fes is the oldest of the imperial cities, founded in 808 as the country’s first political, religious and cultural capital.
We will visit the most emblematic points of the Medina, with a focus on the famous tanneries of Fes.
At the end of the guided tour you can continue your discovery.

Day 6: Fes – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga Desert.
After breakfast we have a long drive ahead of us, about 7 hours of driving, but we promise it will not be boring.
We will pass through Ifrane, nicknamed the “Switzerland of Morocco” because of the town’s architecture, characterized by chalets.
This will be followed by Azrou, of Berber origin, located in the heart of a 53,000-hectare natural park bordered by cedar and holm-oak forests, and here we will meet free-living monkeys.
We will cross the Middle Atlas to the Zad pass and the town of Midelt at an altitude of 1488 meters.
We will continue along the beautiful Ziz gorges (about 150 km of palm grove) until we reach Er-Rachidia in the southern province.
In the late afternoon we will arrive in Merzouga and before sunset with dromedaries we will cross the dunes of the Sahara to be able to spend a magical night under a sky full of stars (Milky Way included …).
This evening will include an excellent typical dinner around the fire with a feast to the rhythm of drums, singing the songs of the Berbers and people of southern Morocco.

Day 7: Erg-Chebbi – Khamlia – Nomad visit – Merzouga
We wake up before dawn to contemplate the sunrise.
After breakfast we return to Merzouga because new discoveries await us!
We will set off on a tour around the dunes of Erg Chebbi, an extension of the sand desert where Morocco’s Great Dune, more than 250 meters high, is located, following the track that was routed by the ancient Paris-Dakar, along the mountains that mark the border with Algeria and form the backdrop.
We will go to meet a nomadic family and get in touch with their customs and the secrets of their life.
They will be waiting for us in Khamlia, a village whose people are originally from Mali, where we can relax with tea while listening to a small concert of Gnawa music.
After about 4 hours of touring and refreshments, we will go to the hotel so that we can spend the afternoon at leisure, right in front of the dunes.

Day 8: Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Ouarzazate.
We will start the journey after breakfast, say goodbye to the Saharan dunes of Erg Chebbi and head in the direction of the small town of Rissani. If market day (Tuesday, Thursday Sunday) we will dive into crazy shopping.
We will then head north to Erfoud, known for its fossils.
From here we will continue in the direction of the Todra canyon and continue along the Thousand Kasbahs road, dotted with large fortresses on both sides of the roadway.
The Dades Valley will follow followed by the Valley of Roses and finally we will arrive at the palm grove of Skoura where we will visit the Amredil Kasbah. After another 45 km we will arrive in Ouarzazate.

Day 9: Ouarzazate – Aït Ben Haddou – Marrakech.
After breakfast, visit the film studios of Ouarzazate, known as the Hollywood of Africa.
Visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou, whose famous kasbah has been the set of more than 20 films including “Gladiator,” “Indiana Jones” and “Lawrence of Arabia.”
As we stroll, we will admire the traditional Moroccan architectural style with which the kasbahs are built.
We will return to Marrakech through the High Atlas Mountains and the Tizi n’Tichka pass. In the early afternoon we will arrive in Marrakech: free time.

Day 10: Marrakech Airport
