With this 7 Days Desert Tour from Fes to Marrakech, you’ll see so many incredible places in such a short period of time. The trip starts in Fez. First we’ll visit Ifrane, the Switzerland of Morocco, and the cedar forest. A lunch break in Midelt, followed by a drive along the magnificent River Ziz. Eventually we’ll reach the Merzouga region, in the Sahara desert. In the heart of the desert, where you can ride camels, there is a magnificent tent where you can spend the night. Also, enjoy the breathtaking sunrises and sunsets in the desert. You will also visit the historic market of Rissani and the fossil-rich city of Erfoud. Next, you’ll explore the Todra, Dades and Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah gorges. Finally, we’ll cross the Tizi-n-Tichka gorge and the High Atlas Mountains.
Itinerary:
Day 1: Fez – Merzouga
Starting the 7 Days Desert Tour from Fes to Marrakech, with breakfast at the hotel, you will then depart for the Middle Atlas Mountains. This is where you’ll find Berber communities. They are traditionally semi-nomadic shepherds. On the way you will pass through the town of “Ifrane”, known as the “Moroccan Swiss”. Here you’ll enjoy a panorama of spectacular cedar forests, inhabited by colonies of monkeys. Soon after, you’ll find a friendly, quiet village where the locals make their living from farming and grazing. Leaving the Middle Atlas, the journey continues into the High Atlas Mountains towards the nearby town of Errachidia. You will pass through gorges and the Ziz Valley, the town of “Erfoud” and finally arrive in “Merzouga”.

Day 2: Merzouga – Erg Chebbi
Breakfast and departure from the hotel/Riad for this day’s excursion. Following our 7-day itinerary, you will pass one of the tracks used in the Paris-Dakar Rally and also the side of the dunes where you will visit the two oases of Merzouga. Then you’ll go to nomadic lands, the Berber people, in the town of Khamlia. Here you’ll find mines called “Mifiss”.
You will see the desert plateaus, fields and the wonderful Tissardmine oasis. Return to the hotel for lunch and rest. In the afternoon, an exciting ride with the riding camels. A slow and contemplative adventure across the vast expanse of golden sand of the landscape offered by the desert sunset, until Astendas. We continue our 7-day itinerary from Fez through the desert to Marrakech, ending with a very special night in nomadic tents. After enjoying dinner to the sound of Berber music and feeling the spirit of the desert, covered by a splendid starry sky the like of which you’ve never seen anywhere else, you’ll have the sleep of the gods in nomad tents in the dunes.

Day 3: Erg Chebbi – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges
We continue our 7 Days Desert Tour from Fes to Marrakech. On this day, everyone will get up very early for a very special reason, which is to climb the dunes to see the sunrise. Then breakfast. Then it’s off to visit the village of Rissani.
Rissani is an attractive village both for its environment and its history. It is considered the ancient capital of Tafilalet. It has over 100,000 inhabitants. It is a holy city. Legend has it that in the 12th century, after a severe drought in Tafilalet, the governor of the time…
Following our itinerary from Fez through the Marrakech desert, we now pass through Erfoud, where we will visit fossil quarries more than 350 million years old. We continue on to the famous Todgha Gorges, one of the strongest points in southern Morocco, free time for lunch, and in the afternoon our tour will end in the Dades Valley.

Day 4: Dades Gorges – kalaa Magona- Skoura – Ouarzazate
We’ll start our 7-day itinerary with a delicious breakfast and then set off for the “Dades Valley” along the “Route of a Thousand Casbahs”. Visit the Dades Gorge and continue down a path of beautiful roses. A rose garden that inebriates all who pass by with its perfume until “El Kelaa Magouna”, the most beautiful garden in the valley.
This is where a festival with dances and parades takes place under a continuous shower of petals, celebrated in May. On the way past is Skoura, a palm tree typical of the palm groves of this region. Then continue in the direction of Ouarzazate to visit the Kasbah of Taourirt and end up at the hotel/Riad in the evening.

Day 5: Ouarzazate – Marrakech
Breakfast and then follow our itinerary. The exciting drive through the Tizi-N-Tichka port with its 2,260 meters above sea level. Known as the “port of pastures” because it is the highest road crossing in Morocco. You will visit the famous kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Arrival in Marrakech late afternoon. Dinner and overnight in Riad/hotel.

Day 6: Marrakech – City Tour
This will be a day dedicated to visiting the red city, Marrakech, starting with the Menara gardens with their lagoon, the Saadian tombs. We will then visit its founders, the Bahia Palace, residence of the former vizier, the Koutobia, a splendid minaret. To finish in the Djemaa El Fna, the great souk, in the morning. And in the evening a magic show. Dinner and overnight in Riad/hotel.

Day 7: Marrakech – Airport
Departure from Marrakech. And finally, the end of the 7 Days Desert Tour from Fes to Marrakech.
