The 2 Day Desert Tour from Marrakech is one of the most requested by our travelers for two reasons: the beauty of its sandy landscape and its proximity to Marrakech, the city of beginning and end of this route. Therefore, if you do not have enough time to reach the famous desert of Merzouga but you do not want to leave Morocco without feeling the genuine embrace of the Sahara on the back of noble camels, the Zagora desert tour is made for you. In this page we show it to you in detail.

Itinerary:

Day 1 : Marrakech – Aït Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Zagora

The meeting point is at the hotel in Marrakech. where you will be staying (alternatively, at the airport) and with the jeeps we will move in the direction of the High Atlas.

You will cross the Tizi n’Tichka pass (2260 m) and arrive at the Kasbah of Aït Ben Haddou; here you will visit the fortified village (the Ksar) and have lunch on site. In the afternoon, depart for Ouarzazate and continue to Zagora through the Anti-Atlas, the Berber village of Agdez and the Draa Valley, with its sequence of palm trees. Upon arriving in Zagora, we leave the jeep and with dromedaries drive in to watch the sunset and spend the night in tents. Dinner and night in the bivouac.

Day 2: Zagora – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate – Marrakech

This morning, we suggest you wake up early to be able to watch the sunrise in the dunes; once this natural spectacle is over, we will return by dromedary to Zagora to pick up the jeep and from here we will depart for Ouarzazate through the Draa Valley and Agdz (lunch on the way). Return to Marrakech in the early afternoon and transfer to your booked hotel/riad. End of our 2 Day Desert Tour from Marrakech.

A real experience

Real experience, but still the necessary amenities are present. Everything well organized thanks also to the timing skills of our guide Ibrahim. Berbers in the desert offer genuine hospitality, taking care of hospitality down to the smallest detail. There are no right words to describe the stars of the night in the desert in front of a campfire immersed in the rhythms and voices of the Berbers.

Magical!

Unique experience, super recommended! During the minivan trip we make several stops, including Ait Ben-Haddou with local guide, very good typical Moroccan lunch. Arrival at camel camp as the sun sets-we didn't expect such a place! Beautiful tents, hot shower and delicious dinner. After dinner bonfire with singing and dancing under the moon. In the morning wake up at dawn to watch the sun rise behind the dunes and return by camel. The guys at the camp super nice and easygoing! Two spectacular days!

Memorable experience

Everything was incredible, starting with the long road trip with the legendary Abdel, the various stops in surreal landscapes and villages that made you feel like you were in a movie. Not to mention the icing on the cake, the camel ride, as comfortable as I expected, and the arrival at the desert resort with a magical atmosphere. Incredible food and the music around the fire the night under the stars was thrilling. I would recommend this experience to anyone
