With this 3 Days tour from Fes through the desert, you’ll see so many incredible sites in such a short period of time. The trip starts in Fez. First we’ll visit Ifrane, the Switzerland of Morocco, and the cedar forest. A lunch break in Midelt, followed by a drive along the magnificent River Ziz. Eventually we’ll reach the Merzouga region, in the Sahara desert. In the heart of the desert, where you can ride camels, there is a magnificent tent where you can spend the night. Also, enjoy the breathtaking sunrises and sunsets in the desert. You will also visit the historic market of Rissani and the fossil-rich city of Erfoud. Next, you’ll explore the Todra, Dades and Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah gorges. Finally, we’ll cross the Tizi-n-Tichka gorge and the High Atlas Mountains. Our 3 Days tour from Fes.
Itinerary:
Day 1: Fez – Ifrane – Azrou – Ziz Valley – Merzouga
We start our 3 Days tour from Fes with breakfast and then head for the Middle Atlas Mountains. A brief stop in Ifrane, known as the Switzerland of Africa. Continue on to Azrou National Park, home to the cedar forest with its peculiar inhabitant, the friendly monkeys. Continue to Medalt for lunch, this town is impressive for its 1488-meter-high mountains, and Erfoud, where you take a 4×4 straight to the paradise of Merzouga, where you’ll find the endless desert dunes of Erg Chebbi.
Time to rest at the hotel after the camel ride and watch the sunset. In the evening, a walk through the dunes until dinner in typical nomad tents.
Day 2: Merzouga – Toudra Gorges – Dades Valley
Breakfast and follow our 3-day route from Fez to Marrakech to Rissani and Erfoud to visit the fossilized marble factory before heading to the palm groves of Tinjdad, Touroug. You arrive at one of the South’s strong points: Todra Gorges. The Todra River has formed some terrifying and beautiful vertical walls; it’s a climber’s paradise, a unique place. You’ll have lunch there and then you’ll have half an hour’s walk to see the Gorges. In the afternoon you continue on to the Dades Valley. Arrival at the Dades gorges.
Dinner and accommodation in a hotel/Riad.
Day 3 : Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Marrakech
After breakfast, you will drive along a road full of kasbahs, all different. After several stops to enjoy the scenery, you set off on the route of the Thousand Kasbahs, the Valley of the Roses and the palm grove of Skoura. Arrive in Ouarzazate and visit the Taourirt kasbah. This used to be the residence of Glaoui or the pasha of Marrakech. Lunch will be served on site. Leave the Tizi-N-Tichka mountain with stops to enjoy the spectacular views. Arrival in Marrakech at 5pm. Transfer to the hotel and end of the trip. And finally, the end of our 3 Days tour from Fes.
